Google Announces Android 3.1, Accessible on Verizon Xoom Right Now

Google has just announced Android 3.1, and it is rolling out to Verizon Xoom 3G buyers these days. It brings with it a selection of improvements and refinements including resizeable widgets, and a new host mode that will allow you to import photos to your tablet directly out of your digital camera, and take advantage of a "ridiculous" range of USB products, even which includes Xbox 360 and PlayStation three controllers. Additionally, it consists of Google's new Motion pictures app which will let you lease thousands of movies through the Android marketplace, a brand new Books app, a brand new video editing app dubbed Movie Studio, and up-to-date versions of most of Google's major apps, including a "faster" internet browser having a new Fast Controls menu -- and to top things off, the OS will probably be hitting Google Tv sometime "this summer" too. Regrettably, there's nonetheless no firm word on when it'll hit non-Xoom 3G tablets, though Google did mention the Samsung Galaxy Tab 10.one that it's offering absent to everybody at IO will be obtaining the update within the "next few of weeks."
